Dotsero

Ferdinand Hayden published a survey of Colorado in 1877 and he used the town of Dotsero as his “Dot Sero”. The town was build at the base of Colorado’s most recently active volcano that erupted 4,140 years ago.  Is that recent? What the?

Their main industry there for years was making cinderblocks from volcano rocks.  How sturdy would they be?

To me recent is last year of maybe 2 or 3 years ago. I never knew that Colorado had a volcano.  I guess it should since we live on the other side of the Rocky Mountains and we have dormant volcanos as well as the states of Idaho and Washington.

Then at the end of the railroad that went through Dotsero, they named another town Orestod (Dotsero spelled backwards).  How weird is that?

Today is Sunday, our Sabbath Day. I believe in God the Eternal Father and in his son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost.  This is our day to worship our Heavenly Father and to grow closer to Him and to keep the Sabbath Day Holy.
