She loves grabbing the spoon and feeding herself; that is, if she can get it into her mouth.
Second, quickly wipe above and below her lips with the spoon before she has a chance to grab the spoon.
Today, she had runny oatmeal mixed with milk formula, tiny dribbling sips of cranberry grape juice from a bottle and a couple of bites of baby applesauce.
Below is the breakfast that my 5 year old granddaughter made. Warning – do not let five year olds make their own breakfast:
This concoction is made of one slice of processed cheese (the slices melt so nice but their full of gunk!), spoonfuls of ever so chunky cottage cheese, lots of Ritz crackers topped with strawberry gogurt (yogurt in a plastic stick so it can be sucked out – for those who like to suck on plastic – uck!).
As you can see, there is one bite of cottage cheese on a cracker – that was all she ate.
